MKW Productions Announces “The Face of Furry Creek – Season 2”
Toronto, Ontario – Nov 4th, 2013: Canadian writer, actor, director and producer Mark Kenneth Woods and MKW Productions have secured a deal with OUTtv, with the participation of the Bell Media Fund, to produce a second season of Woods’ original scripted comedy series “The Face of Furry Creek”.
The second season will again consist of 6 television episodes and an original digital companion project designed as the contest website within the plot of the television series. Viewers will be urged to visit the faceoffurrycreek.com website to see original media-based contest assignments “made by” the fictional characters in each weekly television episode. Ranging from videos to ongoing online voting, the mobile and tablet-friendly website will provide viewers with the continuing opportunity to engage in the television series beyond their TV screens.
The cult hit that Blouin ArtsInfo called “gutsy satire that deserves more attention” and Homorazzi called “clever and entertaining” will follow the lives of the fictitious citizens of the small mountain town of Furry Creek as last year’s winner faces challenges during their reign and a new contest gets underway.
The mockumentary series will again star Woods, Michael Venus, Ryan Steele and Amy Goodmurphy in multiple roles.
Woods, whom will also act as executive producer, will write all 6 episodes of the second season.
Production will begin in Vancouver and Whistler, British Columbia in February, 2014 and the series is expected to debut in Canada in the summer of 2014.
