BFI London + Glitch Glasgow Screenings and Q&As

27 Feb

bfi-flare-london-lgbt-film-festivalOur documentary “Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things” continues its journey in 2017 with some amazing screenings. Having recently screened in Edmonton, Fort Worth, Buenos Aires, Norway and Switzerland to name a few, the documentary, co-director Michael Yerxa and I are headed to the UK for 3 screenings and Q&As. We’ll be at one of my favourite festivals BFI Flare in London March 21st and 23rd and then we’re heading up to Glasgow for the Glitch Film Festival March 26th. The screening in Glasgow is free and tickets for BFI Flare are available here. We will also be participating in a number of panel discussions in London so check the BFI website for more details as they are released. We can’t wait to share the film with London and Glasgow and hope you can join us!

More screenings are being planned so make sure to check our website’s screening section for up to date information. We are also working on a TV/VOD deal so stay tuned.

Free Screening + Artist Talk at Never Apart Montréal

20 Feb

I will be in my hometown of Montréal for the Québec premiere of “Two Soft Things, Two Hard Things” on Saturday, March 4th 7pm at Centre Never Apart. The screening is free and the venue is one that is close to my heart so I’m really looking forward to engaging with the community after that screening.

Instead of asking the usual questions to promote the screening, Never Apart asked me to write an article about any aspect of the film I wanted for their magazine. I decided to take up a little space to discuss our process, successes and failures in thinking about allyship throughout the making of the film. You can read the full article at neverapart.com. Talented photographer Saad Al-Hakkak also did a portrait for the magazine while I was there ☺️. Hope to see March 4th!
